Ran out of space on the old one, so here's the next chapter.
Talk to me. I'll surely answer .....
What are "franks"?
hot dogs, weiners, wurst: choose your translation.
We have decided, my Miki type lap robe and I, that it is not safe to venture outside today. I just might get wet. Is gray and ugly outside and I'm told it shall be worse on up into the day. No problem. I have my blankie, my pillow, my lap robe kitty, and a large, hot mug of Earl Gray to keep me in place.
Load the machine with some elevator music and drift away in a fog.
Gads, this is getting to be a habit.
it will be over soon i hope then there will days of walking a plenty

we are promised thunder and rain -- Ollie is a scaredy pup so we'll cuddle up together when it hits. Oberon is home for lunch (every Wed) and we're having blt's with wasabi mayo. No point in washing floors on rainy days so I'll tackle the bathrooms. Fun, eh?!
We are having water issues. Our porch floods in the spring when the ground is still frozen, but the snow is melting, and of course it is RAINNING today. Had to make a flying trip to town for a new Shop Vac. The old one fell apart, literally, this morning. The bottom was rusted out and it dropped a load of crap all over the place. Fortunately buzz had a late start this morning, and has been sucking the water up since I got home with the new vac. Now he has gong to work, and it is MY turn to take over. If we just let it go, it will come into the family room.....If this sounds familiar, I also posted at the other forum. I'm whining

I don't blame you -- what a drag! What can be done to fix it? (((Donna)))
Oh Donna.....do hope you are able to keep the water to a minimum. Anyway you can erect some kind of trough outside your door to get the water to flow away from the doorway?
It is not coming through a doorway..it is seeping in between the cement slab and the framework of the building. I wonder if putting gutters on the roof above would help. It didn't always do this, it has been the past couple to springs that it happened. As soon ans the snow melt os over it is OK again. The carpet is Indoor/outdoor and the water doesn't seem to damage it. WE just have to be careful that it doesn't get deep enough to get over the patio slider that opens to the porch. I just sucked up 2 buckets full! I have to go to a meeting this afternoon....I'm the treasurer, so have to be there. It will give me a good excuse to get out of there early!
My son had a problem with water one year and when he ran the down spouts from the rain gutter he had a 10 foot extension put on the bottom so it ran quite a ways from the house.
One good thing has come out of it...the kittehs have a new and wonderful toy....a BIG box!! They both got in it and had a fight...so I guess it will have to stay around for a bit. They still have one that a carpet spot cleaner came it...it has intriguing little hole in it to peek out of or grab someone going by...When I got my new puter in '03 the boxes were in here for about a year. They are the best kitty toys there are, except, maybe for the paper grocery bag Tigger grabbed last week.
They sure are great toys, Donna......you could even link a few of them together with doors and tunnels and peep holes.
WE have the downspout extensions, too....and they work well. It's just that one samll section of the roof was overlooked when gutters were installed, and it wasn't a problem until recently....and the pooling of the water is in the cat house, so Tigger is not happy about it either.
Well, I could definitely see why Tigger is not happy about that! LOL
Hopefully a bit of rain gutter will solve the problem. How are you with heights? heh heh
Bad!! And it is 2 stories in that spot! Will have to get it done though...and we have the ones with the covers so you don't have to worry about cleaning them out....expensive to get it done.
Yes they are.........son and his father fixed their's but it was only one story.
wow
